| Insulated Conductor Systems for Crane Energy Supply |
Overhead cranes, hoisting units can get continuous energy in all positions and any time by means of current collectors from conductor system. Insulated conductor systems with continuous conductor for current capacities 35,50, 80, 125 and 160 A are based on controlled expansion of housing and continuous conductors. Due to the absence of plug connectors, the conductors offer the most reliable transmission of energy, control and data signals. Installation are fed with one feed point at the end or somewhere along the installation. On both of these systems at a distance of 30 cm far from the feeding point the housing is fixed. Starting from this point the free expansion of housing as well as copper conductors are allowed.

| PVC Housing with 4 conductor slots 823001-RN4 : |
The anti-reverse rib in the top of housing ensures that the collector trolley can only be installed in one way and prevents cross phasing.
A continuous yellow stripe on one side of the housing shows the existence of the earth copper conductor on that channel and ensures correct fitting of the system.
The PVC housing has a high impact strength and is self extinguishing.
Standard length of housing is 4 m.

| PVC Housing with 7 conductor slots 823002-RN7 : |
The top channel is used as signal transfer line for determining the crane position. Besides current trolley, a second trolley is used for signal transfer. This trolley has 2 signal sensors instead of current brushes. The remaning six channels are used for energy and control transfer. A large number of combination is possible for copper conductor combination.

| Copper Conductors : |

|
The best energy, control and signal transfer is achived by means of high quality electroylic copper conductors. The flat copper conductors are pulled from rolls into the previously installed PVC housing in long continuous lengths, without any connections.

| Insulating Tape 823006-T50 : |
50 mm width, roll of 10 m. This adhesive tape is used to ensure a permanent shroud around the housing joints, prior to fitting the joint clamp. |
| Hanging Arm Set 823010-UH500 : |
Galvanised C- Profile, Length 500 mm.
These brackets have clamps attached to sliding nut assemblies thus facilitating a flexible mounting arrangement capable of accommodating various sizes of INP beams, allowing simple horizontal adjustment. |
 |
| Sliding Hanger Set 823007-BN7-Z : |
|
Galvanised, pre assembled with nuts, serrated washers, washers and bolts. Due to the clearence between PVC housing and sliding hangers, expansion duw to the changes in ambient temperature is accommodated without affecting system operation.
They are fixed to the hanging arm and carry PVC housing. For installations with CU35, CU50 and CU80 copper conductors, distance between hangers is 2 meter.
|
| Fixed Point Clamp 823008-VMN7-Z : |
|
Galvanised. The system should be secured to the support construction adjacent ( 30 cm) to the electric feed point via a self clamping fixed point and starting from this point free expansion is allowed to take place. When required, 2 provided self drilling screws can make the connection extra secure.
|
| Joint Clamp 823009-VN7-Z : |
|
Galvanised. The lengths of housing are connected by means of standard joint clamps. The clamps have special fixations whilst fitting the clamp halves. When required, 2 provided self drilling screws can make the connection extra secure.
|

| Collector Trolley 35 A with two 1 m flexible cable. 823016-CL4-35 : |

|
The current is fed from the copper conductors to static or mobile equipment by means of the collector trolley. The actual connection to the flat conductors is via spring loaded carbon brushes which are manufactured from a special bronze/carbon alloy having a high wear factor. The collector trolley is pulled along the 4-Ductor installation by the apparatus/machine being fed, on which the towing arm is mounted.
|
The trolleys are connected by means of a flexible, in a noose hanging cable so that no lateral forces can affect the trolley. The towing eyes should be situated right in the middle underneath the housing with a distance of minimum 20 mm lower than the towing point of the trolley. However, the trolley may not overturn during moving. If necessary, increase this distance up to maximum 60 mm.
Collector trolleys are available for 4 conductors with current carrying capacities of 35, 70 and 100 A.; duty cycle 60%.
CL 4 -35 type of collector trolley is for 4 conductors with current capacity of 35 A and is delivered with 1 m flexible cable. |
|
| Collector Trolley 70 A with two 1 m flexible cable. 823017-CL4-70 : |

|
CL4-70 type of collector trolley is formed by mounting 2 separate 35 A trolleys on a metal strip. Existing trolleys can be easily transformed.
CL4-70 type of collector trolley is for 4 conductors with current capacity of 70 A and is delivered with two flexible cables each of which has 1 m length.

| Trolley Towing Arm (BMV) : |

|
A towing arm is attached to the moving machinery and connected to the collector trolley via chains. The arrangement is such that when pulling in either direction one of the collector towing chains is taut, the other remaining slack. In this way the lateral movements of the crane, hoist, etc. are not transmitted to the trolley. This tolerance provides ultimate security of service.
The towing connector on the arm should be installed 10 mm lower than the towing connection on the trolley in the highest position and at 30mm lower than the towing connection on the trolley in the lowest position and should be aligned directly below the housing opening in the vertical plane.
The unit is a pipe in "U" shape.
